Well - there is nothing like the combined power of some of the most
persuasive minds on this list! As a result of good and thoughtful arguments
from Glenn, Denys and Steve, we are pleased to announce that there will,
once again be a daily registration for IPROF '98. it will be priced, as last
year, at $275. With the understanding that the attraction of the
registration is the content and not the parties (!), this registration will
not, unfortunately, include the social events. However, the idea that we may
be turning away more valuable input than we'd otherwise get is a compelling
argument.

So, Bay area folks, go for it. My original reasons are now doubly valid!

Second point; we have noticed that many folks are getting a run-around from
the Radisson central reservation system. We've contacted the local hotel
(the place where the beds will actually be!) and they have agreed to extend
the hotel reservation period until March 4th. However, to do this you need
to call the hotel's local number (408/247.0800) and reference the IPROF
conference. If you encounter any more problems, please call Leah Robertson
at Interex (1 800/INTEREX extension 640).

In closing, it's interesting to be an advocatee rather than advocator! But I
believe this is an instance where we will be able to come out ahead, thanks
to the care and concern expressed by people on this list. Thanks to one and all,

Tony
