Store fileset exclud syntax

What am I doing wrong in this command?  I want to store all of
@[log in to unmask] except for the entire contents of the data group:

file storeout=storefil.backup.sys;dev=disc

store @[log in to unmask]<account>[log in to unmask]<account>;*storeout;
show;progress;directory;files=16000


What I get is all of the files in <account> stored, even those in
data.<account>.
