As someone stated before, since the merger has passed, HP will be so
consumed with the merger they will forget (all ready forgot how to do) the
day to day business. This will place HP in a prime mode to be bought out,
probably the nemesis 'ibm' :(

All hope isn't lost yet. There's still Walter Hewlett's lawsuit. It's
possible
-- though unlikely -- that the vote will be declared invalid and have to be
done
all over again. In that case, who knows? Fiorina could still lose. Even
if
the merger goes through, we can hope that the lawsuit uncovers enough
evidence
of wrongdoing to get Fiorina tossed out of her job. (A little jail time
would
be nice, but I guess that's hoping for too much.) At the very least, the
delays
caused by the lawsuit will be a hindrance and pain in the rear for both HP
and
Compaq management. Plus, there's a good chance that further down the road,
HP's
management may have to explain to the stockholders why their precious merger
turned out to be such a colossal failure. So there are still several
potential
bright spots in all this.

I think you meant "Fiorina wins", I'm not convinced that HP did anything
other than lose-- its soul.
