<insert appropriate apology for not answering the direct question here> Any
reason that you specifically need BSD-style sockets? NetIPC does pretty much
everything that BSD does, plus has additional capabilities that are only now
starting to appear in the BSD world, like conditional accept() and
pre-connect source identification.
