Subject: [HP3000-L] Upgrade from 6.0 to ?

With Sept. 1, 2002 end-of-support date for 6.0 coming, we need to decide
where to upgrade to, so that we can continue to pay HP to support our
production HP3000s.
I have found HP3000-L postings around the release dates of 7.0 and 7.0 e1.
There are postings of several 7.0 issues including performance, several
patches, and the failings of CSTM, but few postings of experiences in
taking a large series 997 or 969 'e'3000 to 7.0.
Is 7.0 e1 that stable, that no issues have been posted, or have that few
companies gone to 7.0 with large production 9xx systems?

FYI: Last fall we were forced to backdate from 6.5 pp2. HP assures us that
all issues have been addressed, and we can safely move to 6.5 or 7.0.
