I tend to believe I know Denys well enough to agree with his statement,
"That would not have stopped me." Unfortunately Denys wasn't there at the
time. The event, however ugly, happened and now it's time for Interex to
explain what happened leading up to it, why they made the decisions they
did, and what actions (if any) they plan to make differently going forward.

Thanx,
        Jon

at HPWorld 2002

I do not know why they did not speak up but I can assure you that it is not
Interex policy to exclude the press. That incident was a screw up and
should not have happened. I can only guess that Bob and Ed did nothing
because they were just as surprised as you all were and the board is not
supposed to interfere with operational activities. That would not have
stopped me. :)

Given that both the current and immediately past chair of the Interex board
was in the audience and did not speak out and correct the situation, I was
left to assume that the Interex board was in agreement with the press ban.
