*if* all that you're interested in is making pdf's and mailing them
out...that can all be done for free. 'txt2pdf' comes to mind and it's been
discussed on the list several times. I'm reasonably sure there are a couple
of other pdf generators that will run on the 3000. And there's always
(nee)telamon's email client and/or sendmail to do the emailing.
*however* if you're also needing multi-host, centralize-viewing,
viewing-privileges etc -- then you're into software like byRequest.
But I reckon you already know all this :-) - d
