Next time try doing the following in MPEX
ALTFILE @.DATA.YOURACCT(SAVABLE>32),XLTRIM,KEEPAMDATES
This will not corrupt your index files and accomplish the same mission.
You also asked about billdata files.
If you look at the multiple copies you should be able to get rid of "most"
billdata files from your test account plus if you have upgraded to a release
11.xx you will have copies that end in O
not zero. Those can be purged. As for the balance of them I would look at
just storing the files that have not been modified/accesses/created in 730
days. and keep the tape in a good place just in case, however if you have
already "Squeezed" these files you have already altered the modify dates.

Subject: [HP3000-L] SQUEEZE
After squishing my OMNIDEX files I:
1. In DBUTIL DI <<BASE NAME HERE>> for indexing
2. Deinstalled omnidex
3. Reinstalled omnidex
4. Reindexed
This fixed the indexing.
Thanks
