Hi Craig :)
   um... I remember when I was writing a proposal to bring our 979-200 up to
~6 GB of RAM I found out that you can actually cause "system overhead" to
increase if you add the memory in a non-recommended way... for us that meant
that we needed to add an additional memory carrier and make the memory as
balanced (read mirror image) between the two carriers.  Could this be what
HP was referring to?

    I remember that I had to call a CE directly to get the bottom line on
this... the RC was "pretty sure" that I "might" need to buy an extra memory
carrier ... but "not guaranteed" on that answer...
