We have been using ODBC VB clients connecting to our HP3000 for about three
years now and there have been few problems, so long as you run the ODBC
server in the CS queue. Oh, and the fact that the clients tend to time out
for any or no reason. Plus the mysterious "ODBC call failed" error message.

Actually, we have few problems when running ODBC over the LAN where the
server is. However, our remote sites running over a frame relay WAN are
another story. The remote sites tend to have more of the mysterious error
message problems and time-out issues; however, the ODBC server can become
unresponsive at times (overloaded?) to all users, local or remote.

I wish it was warm here today (30 degrees F and snowing!)
