I got this version running now. I am now trying to get JServ, a servlet
engine for Apache, to work. This would allow me to run HP3000 side servlets
that can retrieve data from IMAGE DBs. Although I am now told I need Apache
1.3.9. I think I have it Lars I just don't know it yet. I bet it is in
that IX account.
I was able to get most of my answers at
http://jazz.external.hp.com/src/apache/index.html The troupleshooting link
at the bottom is goods.
I started out not using the right .conf file. Was trying to use the UNIX
version.
Also in the httpd.conf file is the start directory when surfing to
http://myhp3000.com or http://nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
I started this project in early May. I am not able to apply gobs of hours
to it, nor do I have a LAN connection to the internet. I have to download
via modem.
I have been posting my trials on the list at [log in to unmask] Bixby and
Appel have been very helpful.
I have attached my SERVICES.NET.SYS file so you can see how mine is.
# This file contains the information about the services provided.
# Copy this file to SERVICES.NET.SYS if that file does not already exist.
#
# The form for each entry is:
# <official service name> <port number/protocol name> <aliases>
#
# See the services(4) manual page for more information.
# Note: The entries cannot be preceded by a blank space.

Let us know what the problem was.
