I hate to inform you that you will have to reboot your system. Ghost
processes are a pain to deal with. You can not control them at all. A nice
healthy system reboot will solve your problem.

Subject: Ghost Sessions
I can't find the link to the FAQ at this hour so here goes a question to the
"L" ....
I currently have a session logged on that will not go away as follows:
#S9850 EXEC 344 344 SAT 6:56A USER.ACCOUNT.MANMAN
If I do a SHOWPROC #S9850 it shows nothing. But from GLANCE/iX earlier I
got the PIN of 1107
:SHOWPROC PIN=1107
QPRI CPUTIME STATE JOBNUM PIN (PROGRAM) STEP
C152 3:12.128 WAIT S9850 1107 (QUICK.CURRENT.COGNOS) CC=(HP) DICT=PHD
O. S version 6.0. I've tried the usual, abortjob, abortio, moving from CS
to DS to ES queues and back again. Sysdiag ldev and port resets and
resetting the DTC 72MX on which this device resides.
I know that bouncing the system may be the only answer, but at this point
that is not what I need. The last time this happened one of our databases
became corrupted and it was a real pain to get back to where we started.
Any thoughts from the list would be most appreciated. I'm off to bed for
now but hope springs eternal for an answer in the morning. ;-)
TIA
