After all has been said there's really nothing to do now but move forward.
I went through a career change 21 years ago from police officer to
computers. I was introduced to the HP3000 series 44 when I went back to
school. During the past 21 years I have worked for many companies who have
gone through reorganization and I've usually been a casualty of this
process. I've learned that the future holds no guarantees. Every time I've
been face with a major change I had 2 options; I could look at the change
and come up with all kinds of excuses and whine (why me?) or I could look at
the change as a challenge. I find the attitude of a challenge more
productive.

I currently work for a fantastic company. I have no idea how this
announcement will impact us, but I look forward to the challenge of change
once again. Instead of complaining and feeling uncertain what the future
will bring I choose to search for solutions that I can pass on to
management. I want to be successful in my career and to do that I must make
sure that everything I do as an employee helps my employer be successful.

My question to all is this; do you look at this change to find excuses or
are you going to accept the announcement and look for successful solutions
to help your company be successful during the inevitable changes that are
coming?

It's your decision, choose it carefully!

Best wishes to all and lets all stay in touch. After all your ideas, if
shared could be beneficial to this group.
