Hello all prospective IPROF-97 attendees:

IPROF-97 is less than two months away (gulp):
Mon 3 March through Thurs 6 March; plus only
SIGSOFTVEND & "BOF-Fry's" will meet on
Sunday 2 March.

I have had more requests for registration info, since
the Interex call for registration is still "in the mail" (it
really is; I checked; went out ~one week ago); but
they go out bulk mail, so slow delivery. Sorry for delay.

The IPROF-97 Call for Reg. will also be on the Interex
web site; URL will be posted as soon as it is ready.
I posted the individual SIG meeting schedule awhile
back, so unless told otherwise assume everybody who
wants that has already got it.

In the mean time, here is the logistical information:

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Headquarters for IPROF '97 will be at the the Westin Hotel located at
5101 Great America Parkway in Santa Clara, just minutes from both the
San Jose Airport and Hewlett-Packard Cupertino Campus. For your
convenience, we have reserved guest rooms at the Westin Hotel at a
special discounted rate ($139, single and $149, double occupancy).
Reserve before February 7, 1997 to insure rate and availability.
After February 7, rooms are subject to availability. Please indicate
that you are an IPROF attendee when making your reservation.
 408.986.0700
 800.228.3000

.... Yes, I know the hotel rooms are noticeably more that for
IPROF-96. Last year we got beat up (with some justification)
because the phones in the LeBaron were in many cases
semi-useless for reliable data-com. I think we can reasonably
expect the phones in the Westin to work reliably. Having solid
data-com seemed to be on many '96 attendees "must have"
list..... You get what you ask (and pay) for.....
