There was a discussion on the Powerhouse list a while back about slow
compatibiity KSAM.  The solution was to use Native mode - I believe it just
takes a small change to the dictionary definition of each KSAM file,
recompile of powerhouse, and coversion of the datafile(s). Also, I
believe MPE is faster with the Native version, also.
 
There are some other considerations having to do with how the
KSAM handles repeating Keys and with buffering. I'm sure others
will put more light on these aspects.
