We had an emergency whereby a 958 motherboard lost it's FP processor and
the 3rd party hardware support vendor didn't have a replacement and
couldn't find one. We had to resort to a 917 minimal config 20 users (we
had been 200 users). We were stuck on MPE/iX 5.0 because of the
HPLOADPROC problem. We finally got HP to help out (Time & Billing). We
crippled along for 3 weeks. HP came up with a "magic" patch to 5.0 so we
could add a Jamaica enclosure and five 4.0GB lowpro drives to the 917 -
the idea being to move them to the new 967 we wound up buying without a
reaload (but still on 5.0). (It was pre-release 5.0 PULL to boot).

BTW - anyone know the MTBF of a 958 motherboard?
