Subject: Why MPE/iX Was Discontinued But Not HP-UX
Importance: Low

HP is moving to Linux in a big way. Marketing acronyms are
very important. HP-UX will be remarketed as HP-Lux.

Lux is an acceptable acronym, since HP will is partnering
with Red-Flag Linux from China, it also fits in with the
Chinese psyche of "Luck".

(Ever notice how many Chinese businesses manage to fit the
word "Luck" into their legal name? e.g. Lucky-Star,
Lucky-Dragon, etc.)

Anyway, for obvious reasons, this will not work for MPE/LiX.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Could be worse, HP-UX with SuSE Linux gives HP-sux, but I digress.

You could be write about those Chinese names. LSMFT
