I wish I had a nickel for every Allegro-something in the world. We'll
complain about the other "Allegro Consultants" that pop up from time to
time, but the project names, TV remote controls, and semiconductor
manufacturers simply generate confused email and telephone calls. We
finally created an "Other Allegros" page on out web site to help out people
who are lost:
http://www.allegro.com/other_allegros.html
but apparently few people actually *read* web pages but just go directly to
the contact links when they're in the mood to order chips or complain about
the fact that they've lost the instructions for programming their remote
controls.
I'm sure Amazon.com gets complaints about the river too.
Even better are the people who link to you for no apparent reason. There's
a Chinese company that claims to be a subsidiary of us, another company that
shows us as one of their four worldwide major customers on a map, and
numerous people who assumed that the allegro they wanted must just be at
"www.allegro.com".
