Gentle list members:
I have a program which weelky prints the number of records/capacity %
ratios using DBINFO and the changes since the last week.
The
output consists of lines like this:
SETN ^NCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC ^O 7000/8000=87.5% I^NCCC
800 = 10%
The results are appended to a binary file with records (date, time,
database, name, array of number of entries)
This program aborted with stack overflow in the middle of a database
because it could not execute a Strrpt('C',negative_number) call..
I could use this database from another programs.
DBINFO from this program and FORM SETS reported negative number of
entries. Other programs which added new entries at the end of the damaged
detail set by chained get and put worked correctly.
I erased the data base. The root file remained damaged.
I have to purge and recreate it.

There are 3 kinds of programming errors: syntactical, semantical and mystical.
The programmers have to suck up the users just as much as absolutely necessary.
