Again I thank you for your help.

I have received a number of suggestions as well as your own on how to try
and pin-point this fault - here's what I have done and the results

#1) Changed the reslvcnf.net.sys file

domain earth.milkyway.space        {this is what is configured under NMMGR}
nameserver 193.113.209.14
nameserver 193.113.209.46


Note: I have also tried setting the domain to gainsborough.com and
vesoft.co.uk but to no avail
