If you have a single MPE i/X System, this may not be an issue--many of the services for NS/VT over ethernet are now bundled into FOS and you may operate just fine.

However, certain functions, such as those in the area of multi-threading and using native mode terminal I/O, and older versions of Java requiring NS3000/iX for certain functions, may make it desirable to continue / upgrade. It should be noted that HP has committed to move these functions appropriately to FOS in a future release.

If you have been using DSLINE between machines, you should contact your contract coordinator right away to get the product, because DSLINE with REMOTE HELLO are the primary functions now of NS3000/iX network services and will not work without it.

Help.
I am about to upgrade my system to version 6.0. I just noticed that the subsys tape does not contain:

36920A NS3000/IX network services.

Is this now bundled as a part of FOS?

What does this include (REMOTE HELLO, DSLINE?)

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
