This thread was active a couple of months ago, but I never found the exact answer, so I'll
try again.
We need to find a good print quality barcode printer that can be connected via a Jet-Direct box
to the HP3000. We have been working with a Datamax printer, but have been unable to get
it working (I can't speak to the specifics, since a remote site is doing this).
Has anyone got experience (vendors?) with a working combination?
DTC connections are not an option, since the remote site has no DTCs and bridging the required
protocols across the frame relay circuit is not a desired thing to do.
We will be printing to the printer with both QUIZ and Fortran code. I have several examples of
code for a couple of printers, but so far we haven't identified the printer that can be configured
to work "across the LAN".
any suggestions?
