Industry Standard Servers == Intel x86

JS' is making an indirect point:

Solaris runs on their proprietary chip (sparc) AND on x86

Keep in mind that at this very point in time Sun in engaged
in a very deep and far reaching media campaign to try to
position Solaris as THE unix o/s to use because of it's
pervasive reach. They continue to leak that they are porting
Solaris to IBM Power and Itanium.

Whether the marketplace cares about Solaris' reach only time
will tell, but a lot of what JS and the media is writing is
part of this well architected campaign. And as we all know
about media campaigns - talk is cheap, but delivering takes
a whole lot more work :-)
