We did a highly successful upgrade from a 947 to a 929KS in preparation for the Year 2000.

I did the project plan in December 1998, and the production cut over was two weeks off the mark because the programmers wanted
additional time for testing. We needed more disk than we originally ordered and we installed a 100 MBit LANIC, but it went as smooth
as silk. Most of the vendors were quite reasonable and except for one notable exception. We went from MPE iX 5.0 to MPE iX 6.0.

Not a problem. [Well, we did crash a couple times until we got POSIX patches, but that was new stuff!]

It's a great system, and everybody is VERY happy.

The Year 2000 went great too! [One glitch! Fixed in one week!]

Hi all,

Has anyone upgraded their HPe3000 9X7 to a 9X9? If so, HP CSY would love
to hear from you. We're looking for 9X7 to 9X9 customer upgrade experiences
that can be turned into published success stories. If you think you can
help, please contact me. Thanks!
