I wondered if anyone else found it ironic that all of JBB's change log
entries for Y2K remediation use a non-standard date format with
two-digit years. :-)

Hummmph...

I've been using standard date formats (ISO 8601) in all of my
modification log entries since 1995.

Walter "more standard than you" Murray :-)

13 ;/D/ V 2.1 - Revise for eight digit dates JBB 97 JAN 10
14 ;/D/ V 2.2 - B3 ex-warehouse entries JBB 09 MAY 11
...

As it happens, I had cause yesterday to modify a program. The
change log indicates that we made the necessary changes for Y2K in
January of 1997. This is "Dawdling"?

Just to make sure I checked all the other source code files:
...
43 ;/D/ V 5.8 - Revise for 8 digit dates JBB 97 JAN 03
...
13 ;/D/ V 1.5 - Revise for eight digit dates JBB 97 JAN 10
...
2 ;/D/ V 1.1 - revise for eight digit date JBB 97 JAN 10
...
24 ;/D/ V 4.1 - Modified to handle 8 digit dates JBB 95 JUN 23
...
4 ;/D/ V 1.2 - Modified for 8 digit date JBB 95 JUN 23
...
9 ;/D/ V 1.7 - Change for 8 digit dates JBB 95 JUN 23
...
3 ;/D/ V 1.1 - 8 digit dates + variable period JBB 97 JUN 12
... and so on...

I cannot find a single change log entry having to do with eight
digit dates more recent than June 1997.

Dawdling.... hummmph...
