Hmmm. Everyone responded privately. Interesting. Anyway, thanks to all
who responded.
As I was in a hurry, rather than using DECOMP to NOP out the offending
FWRITEs (as most suggested), I chose what appeared to be the fastest,
easiest solution - use QUAD to find and change the "Esc &w6f80X" and "Esc
&w6f132X" escape sequences to something else (CTRL "F" aka "ACK" was
suggested as an easy-to-enter non-printing character and I used it). I was
initially concerned that the strings would span a sector boundary, but
apparently both strings (luckily) reside within their individual sectors.
Again, thanks to all, and thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one
annoyed by TDP's resizing the screen and in the process wiping terminal
(emulator) memory.
Thanks!
John
