On your next reboot, before you try "BOO" try setting the clock with the pre-boot utilities.
(Assuming you have autoboot off.)
It should ask you for some gawdawful YYYYMMDDHHSS string.
You can also do a (R)ead of the clock until you're satisfied.
Then after booting, try your regular "No" followed by the kind of date we all know again.

System was still on EST, so I wanted to change it during startup.
I answered "N" to the date/time setting at end of startup, and it refused my entry of 07/22/13;
it returned a question mark.
After several quick CR, it set the clock back to 1 Jan 85, which is where it is now waiting.
