Howdy,
So now yer serial printer instead of doing a RESUME;OFFSET=-n
stops the spooler and you get to start the 2000 page report
at page 1? Is that your probelm bunky?
After upgrading from 5.0 to 5.0.5 that's what we were faced
with. Quick call HPRC.
The checkpoints used for forms control with HPIB interfaces
were just fine - seems it was and undocumented feature for
serial printers. Somewhere along the line (express 3 or
power patch 5.0.5) the "undocumented" feature Went West.
We are now invited to use SPIFF to:
1. Text the spoolfile
2. Find the restart point
3. Copy the unprinted portion to a new spoolfile
4. Print the new spoolfile
Well we aren't gonna die from it, but with CD extentions
disappering, "undocumented" stuff cropping up, etc I
am left to wonder when the 3000 itself will become an
"undocumented" feature of the 9000.
