I reported a problem here several months ago while experimenting with the
5.0 pull release. It is still not corrected on C.50.00 plus powerpatch
C.50.02. It can be demonstrated as follows:
:FILE T;DEV=7 (or FILE T=$NULL)
:FILE SYSLIST=MYLIST,NEW;TEMP;REC=-132,,F,ASCII;NOCCTL;DISC=100000;DEV=DISC
:STORE @.PUB.SYS;*T;SHOW
At this point, MYLIST should be a temporary file - as it was on 4.0 and
prior. As of 5.0, this file is in the permanent domain.
Probably nothing too serious - as long as one is aware of it - but a bit of
a nuisance. (More than a bit for someone who has to modify umpteen backup
job streams). I was wondering if this is simply a minor "STORE" bug and
whether it would be fixed anytime soon.
