Priv mode is (sort of) the MPE equiv. to executing as "root user",
only it's *much* safer.  Notice that you put "GETPRIVMODE" and
"GETUSERMODE" before and after the call that needs it, rather than
giving the entire program "root user" access?  Bugs in other parts of
your code are unlikely to cause system failures, or open up security
holes by mistake.
