... the bad thing is that the request for a second tape will become part of the
console log BUT
IT/O OpC is also not able to track this message ...

We will be happy if HP will deliever a general solution (real reply!).

Subject:  In a busy data center




With a whole bank of conoles connected to several busy systems, a request
to mount the next tape can scroll off the console before it is noticed. I
do not think that such a request generates a message that requires a REPLY.
Short of a printing console, is there any MPE/iX level approach to, er,
"reminding" the operator that the next tape is needed? What about from
third-party land?
