Yes, JH is correct -- the Support Link modem may be connected to a DTC
modem port and configured appropriately for PS. We use this setup for all
our systems (all use the same modem), leaving LDEV 21 free for remote
console access. We can keep this port locked and disabled for remote
access until we actually need it.

Hello Rick & friends @ 3000-L,

Ok, now that I am back in the office and everything is pretty much back to
normal (can anyone define normal??), I read with great joy (try jumping up
and
down in an airplane!) the news that Secure Web console will be (is)
available on
the 3000 platform. One question though, which really started this whole
thing,
will this affect my Predictive Support Dialout??

I will suggest that it is possible to install your support link modem on an
alternate port (25 pin RS232 DTC modem port - Oh, I just sold you a card
for
your DTC - I am good at this sales stuff!) and predictive can be
reconfigured to
use this DTC port.
