Sounds to me if you could build an MPE/V emulator on a cheap
Linux platform, you'd get the undying gratitude from a certain
IT office in the U.S. Navy. Who were (last time I heard)
still running some Classic boxes and were paying beaucoup
US$ to HP beyond supported service life for maintenance...
Even if they've upgraded since then PA-RISC there'd still be
considerable cost savings.
Yep, maybe even worth a Navy Achievement Medal? Hmmmm?
But who would they call when the box crashes? Although
it may be worth it as a test platform such as laptop to
test coding skills.
