Check to see if bridging is turned on at the router. If not, I don't think
it will ever work. I am not 100% clear on what this does, but if it's not
turned on you can't see the DTC and / or the DTC can't see you. No
download, no reset, nothing!!!!!! It will go through all the usual self
tests, 10,20,30.......F2, but then it goes to a C1, which IIRC is a network
timeout. Do you see any type of download request messages on the console?
My guess would be no. Try the bridging, everything else sounds good.

                Fellow listmembers:

I've been trying to successfully configure a 2345A DTC for
our credit union's new branch. I configured it in NMMGR, validated it (it
validated and added successfully). However, after connecting it to one of
our hubs via RJ45 and 13-pin transciever and turning it on, no lights come
on at either the hub or transciever end (DTC passes self-test with no
problems).

After changing various parameters (transciever, cable, hub
port, jumper on processor card is set to rows B and C for Thicklan
connection) I setup another (working) DTC using the same NMMGR
configuration (deleting old one and creating new one with 2nd DTC's LAN
address, natch). This time, the hub port and transciever lights light up,
all appears normal, but DTC goes C1 after timing out during download
attempt. Once again, tried changing various parameters...no success. This
second DTC worked fine at one of our branches during disaster recovery
testing.

Blew the dust off a '91 vintage DTC manual which described
a method to access the DTC Diagnostics program via local terminal connected
to board 0, port 0, but doing CTRL-P as instructed does nothing...I tried to
setup the terminal according to the manual's outlined procedure as closely
as possible, but they don't appear to have been written for a 700/92
terminal; perhaps there are additional parameters that need to be adjusted.

At this point, I am completely stumped! Any help from some
of the DTC/networking gurus out there would be greatly appreciated!

                Thanks in advance,
