Agreed. These kinds of discussions add NOTHING to the content of the
list, which is supposed to be use, management, and advocacy of the HP
e3000 platform. All these discussions do is erode my respect for
people on the list that I otherwise think highly of, and that's
irrespective of my own personal beliefs and whether I agree or
disagree with a particular point of view. That kind of deterioriation
works directly against the purpose of the list.

This list is about computers. That means we typically don't need to
know your religious or political beliefs.

I asked for a moratorium of any political discussion leading up to the
election because things were getting downright ugly around here. It
didn't happen.

Question: if we ban political discussion, how many of you will
unsubscribe in response?
