although this question really doesn't relate to the board,I figure I can
still get and answer. We have a sun sparc 2 that is currently being utilized
as our mail server.it dials out every 10 min to our provider and downloads
mail to us,sending it to the address of the novell server were we can
retrive it using eudora, now here the problem,we recently segmented the
lan,and and after connecting the other hub,the people on the second leg
can't get mail,after defining
the cards correctly on the server and binding them, the people we put on the
new leg can get on the novell, but are unable to get there mail, after several
attempts with both unix and novell contractors they can't seem to figure out
why this is not working, unix says it's the tcp/ip novell says it's the unix..
does anything need to be defined on the unix to to see the new card. they say no
has anyone had this problem. the unix people suggested sub-netting
any thoughts..??.
