Well, no first hand experience here yet, and I also would like to hear from
anyone. I too am considering a 3015 or 2055, although not right away.
Meanwhile, I would be optimistic about the 2055 and 3015 because the specs
say they support pcl5e, pcl6 and postscript, and lack the dreaded phrase
"host-based printing" that I see on cheap printers like the 1500.
I think one would be worth taking a chance on, at least if you have a
fallback option like people who would like better printers for their PCs and
do not need reports direct from the HP.
Does anybody know of an HP laser with internal jetdirect and pcl support,
that is not "host based" and doesn't work with the HP ?

Subject: [HP3000-L] MORE PRINTER QUESTIONS 2055,3015
Does anybody know from first hand experience if the above models will do
proper font modification via pcl commands on MPE? In the vein of the 3005,
2200,2420, 8150 DO work ok, but 2015, 28x0 do NOT ??
The models I have experience with are becoming hard to get now, and we are
into new territory for us...
thanks
John Pitman
