Depending on your supported software, you will be paying more money for tier
pricing, and YES you will need to
call ALL of your software vendors. There may be several depending on what
you own. Make a contact list and call them
all. D.I.S.C, Cognos, Robelle, Rego,to name a few will not function unless
you have activation codes, or new tapes from the vendor. The good vendors
like Rego, Robelle to not change pricing, but Cognos and D.I.S.C. will.
Check your contracts.

YES your SUSAN number does change and the vendors will need this number in
advance to ensure a smooth transition
to your 987.
Good Luck

HEHEHE! This list is great, you people are a riot! Actually my hardware
support (non-HP) guy will be doing the swap (with my nose in his business
the whole time) and I'm taking the system from the users on a Friday morn to
allow a recovery buffer if needed (users don't work weekends). My biggest
concern was any CPU configuration and hardware specific variables. Is
!HPSUSAN a hardware specific variable? What's it used for and how does it
get it's value?
