Does anyone know what the maximum disk size is on the HP 3000 systems
running MPE-iX 4.0/5.0?

There seems to be around an 8GB limit for actually creating a new set,
but there seems to be around a 4GB limit when you write files to the
drive.

I created a new set on a 6GB drive (creating a new set on an 8GB drive
fails) which succeeded, but then I started writing files to the drive
and the system crashed when about 4GB of data had been restored on it.
At this point the volume set was totally unuseable, the system mounted
it as an error volume.

I have searched through the laser ROM manuals and can find no
information about maximum sizes for a set or disk.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
