I occasionally get an error in the Apache error_log that reads:

[Wed Apr 21 14:26:11 1999] send body lost connection to: 172.16.15.171:
Connecti
on reset by peer.

This error seems to coincide with one or more Apache processes hanging and
chewing up a lot of CPU time. I haven't witnessed what is happening on the
browser end but 98% of our browser activity consists of executing CGI
programs on the server - a 968 running 5.5 pp6.

As a workaround, I've been aborting the JHTTPD job and restarting which
seems to get things back to normal.

I'm running Apache 1.2.5. Has anyone run into this or have any suggestions?
