Additional info which may be of interest: CIX can be reached at:

or you can call: 703-824-9249 (lou scanlan is good person to talk
to, if she is still there).
There are supposedly four new NSF NAP's which were / are / will be
set up (?? status ??). Some info I had said one will be in San Jose,
managed by Pac Bell..... Except nobody at Pac Bell had the slightest
idea what I was talking about when I asked them......
Plus semi-trivia: I have a bunch of stuff on file from CIX, and it all
says "Commercial INTERNET Exchange", not "Commercial
Information Exchange".
Plus confusion factor, which I will not even try to get into the details
of: Since Dr. Washburn left as head of CIX there has been a
considerable amount of turmoil and debate as to what the future of
CIX is going to be............

"Unfortunately" is the right word; hopefully that will change soon,
and SLIP will appear on the 3000. Ditto with full-function DNS.
