The MPE version you see on the showme command and HPVERSION does not
indicate what Powerpatch you have installed, only what major release and
what Express release you have installed, with Express release meaning the
subsys tapes that get released during the life of that version. For
example if you installed Express 2 subsys you would see C.55.02, but if
you only installed powerpatch 2 then you would still see C.55.00. The way
to find out what powerpatch you have installed is to print
HPWSINFO.PUB.SYS. This contains a list of all the patches you have
installed. On the fourth line of the file if you have a powerpatch
installed it will display it:

POWERPATCH C5504 P4 - which means Powerpatch 4 for MPE/iX version 5.5.
Dont worry about the P4, it refers to a build no. There is another thread
which is discussing this very concept. So whenever when the HP Response
Centre asks you for the powerpatch you have installed this is the best
place to find it.
