Having seen a number of articles posted here by "fred White" I have often
wondered if he is the same Fred White who co-authored the "Image/3000
Handbook." I sincerely hope not. Over the years I have enjoyed the
handbook greatly and have had the highest respect for the authors.
However, if Mr. White truly believes that the things in Ray Shahan's
article are "inane, childish, inconsistent c--p" then he clearly
is someone with whom I would wish to have no association whatsoever.
So please, if he is *not* the Fred White of "Image/3000 Handbook" fame,
someone *please* let me know so that my appreciation of that fine book
can remain untainted by distaste for one of its authors.

As for "fred White" himself, whoever he is, his comments above (together
with his crude, off-color "jokes") have earned him the distinction of
being the only person in comp.sys.hp.mpe to join my killfile.
