I'm not a lawyer of course, but it seems to me that the Apache license
permits redistribution and prevents the removal of this right without their
permission, so unless HP managed to distribute the beta under a restrictive
license which somehow subverts the Apache license, then someone who has the
beta should be able to put it up on a web page and freely distribute it.

Of course HP doesn't have to answer questions about it, support it, or even
provide source code for it.
