Let's assume that your OLD system is already on 5.0, because going from
4.x to 5.x would be too big of a step to do without a period of time for
testing applications.

Your DTC's will need to be power-cycled, because they resolve to the MAC
address of the HP3000 (which will be changing to the new systems). If
you use DTC manager, there may be a configuration change where you
specify the Hardware address of the host (not sure, but maybe). If you
don't use DTC Manager, there may be a configuration change in NMMGR.

Remember... some 3rd party software will detect the CPU model or HPSUSAN
number and will need to be re-validated by the vendor if you change
CPU's. Your CE might be able to help you retain the same HPSUSAN number
as before.

I'm not sure about the 967 hardware, but I the 969 does not support HPIB
devices. Convert printers to serial interface, tapedrives to SCSI...

Things you DONT want to do...

Don't restore files from the old system's SYS or TELESUP accounts
(unless they are your own files, batch jobs, etc..)

Merry Christmas and Good Luck...

John
