Hi Duane,

If a DAT is the only communications medium, you've probably
got troubles.

I have used a DAT once, successfully, on a PC box ... but I had
to bootup under Linux to be able to access my SCSI DDS drive
(and I used tar to access it).

Most PC software that can talk to DDS are backup programs.
If you reverse-engineered the format of a backup of a single
file on a PC, you could create a similar backup tape on the 3000,
with enough work.

Ideally, I'd read it into a 3000 or 9000, and then ftp it across
to the 9x/NT system.
