I suppose another followup to:

would be a revision of the old bumper sticker, into:
 
   Programmers are real...unless declared integer.
 
(From the original: God is real, unless declared integer)
 
(Although, with HP's FORTRAN/V, I used to always use "IMPLICIT COMPLEX A-Z",
so that makes it: god is complex, unless declared integer)
 
Or, someone could reply:
   Real programmers write their own database management systems.
 
Oh well, enough of that!
