Hi Michael :)
Did you see if an entry is being put into the routing table for the
server that is going kaput? Use NETTOOL.NET.SYS->NAMEADDR->ROUTING-ROUTING
to see the table if there is an entry clear it out using the NETCONTROL
NET=LAN2;UPDATE=INTERNET command... change the NET=LAN2 to whatever your lan
is...

Art "Hope this is it :) hehe" Bahrs

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP Reconnection to rebooted servers

When we have a network problem that results in a server being rebooted, the
HP3000 979 sometimes does not reconnect to it. Doing a INETD -c and
restarting daemons sometimes works but we usually have to reboot the HP to
get everything working again.

Is there something that needs to be set, either on the HP or the network,
that will cause the HP to recognize when a server, mainly Novell but also
NT, is rebooted and reconnect to it?
