Did you get this working?

With narrow SCSII devices we have, sometimes I have to fake out the SYSGEN
and use other id's to get them to work.

Usually we tell them they are ST34371N's - these are 4 gig narrow drives.
If the device you are attaching is different size you may need to use
another id string, as not all devices where set up in the older version of
MPEX. The Narrows I am currently using look like df drives to the system
and the device driver - id string I use is ST34371N. By the way I am in
7.0 and HP never did get it right.

Hope this helps,

Subject: Seagate ST34573N

Hi

I tried configuring Seagate ST34573N Hard Disk on a 928RX with MPE/iX 5.5.
Trying following command inside SYSGEN:

io>ad ldev=13 path=56/40.3.0 id=st34573n

I get device not supported.

Should I use different id string?
Or do I need some patches to get ST34573N support on 5.5?

Thank you very much

Stefano
