I remember him telling me that he had some trouble with the Splashed version.
However I have been using the January, 1993, Splashed version successfully for
more than a year.  The only problem I've noticed is that the usual help
introduction message is not issued.

I'm not sure what Stan means by Quad being ported.  It is still in SPL as of
this summer.
